Hakuba Cottage Karamatsu is a stylish two-bedroom self-contained house in the beautiful village of Hakuba, Nagano — a world-class ski destination and home to the 1998 Winter Olympics.
Hakuba Cottage Karamatsu is a newly renovated, stylish two-bedroom cottage nestled in the wooded streets of Misorano Forest. The cottage is located a few minutes walk from Echoland, the dining and entertainment hub of Hakuba Valley, which boasts a large array of traditional Japanese restaurants, as well as international dining options. Hakuba Valley’s shuttle bus system is both extensive and timely, allowing many visitors to do away with rental cars entirely. Hakuba Cottage Karamatsu is located just 10 meters from the shuttle stop, allowing guests full freedom to explore all major ski resorts during their stay.
The cottage makes perfect accommodation for four people in comfort, or up to 6 when converting the two sofas to single beds.
LIVING AREAS
Upstairs, offering views of the surrounding forest and mountains, is an open-plan space incorporating the lounge, dining area and kitchen.
The sunken lounge area has a flat screen TV, with accompanying Apple TV, allowing you to watch the latest movies and TV shows. Or listen to some tunes on the wireless HiFi speaker. Needless to say, the chalet is also equipped with Japan’s blazing-fast broadband internet and WiFi.
Powerful fan-assisted heating will keep you toasty warm.
The dining area adjacent to the kitchen is a cosy space for eating-in. The dining table seats six comfortably.
The modern newly fitted kitchen features a fridge/freezer with built-in ice maker and plenty of storage space. There is an induction cooktop set into the countertop. The kitchen is equipped with all the appliances and utensils you'll need for cooking anything from quick and simple breakfasts to gourmet meals.
BEDROOMS
Hakuba Cottage Karamatsu has two double bedrooms on the first floor, sleeping four adults in comfort. In addition, the two sofas in the lounge can be made flat and, with futons placed on top, convert into comfortable single beds for an additional two guests.
BATHROOMS
The cottage has one bathroom, equipped with a double shower, and a separate toilet. Guests can enjoy traditional Japanese bathing at one of the nearby Onsen hot springs, just a few minutes walk away.
OUTDOOR FACILITIES
At the side of the house, accessible from the patio doors in the bedrooms, is a large hardwood deck with a BBQ and table and chairs — a perfect setting for outdoor feasts during the spring, summer, and autumn seasons.
